"Trust Your Eyes To Experience" Retina and Vitreous Dr. John T. Harriott, M.D., is a specialist of medical and surgical disorders of the retina and vitreous. He has been in practice at Southeastern Eye Center since 1993. He and his wife, Angela, have three children and reside in Winston-Salem. Dr. Harriott, M.D., received his Undergraduate Degree in Engineering from Cornell University 1n 1979. He attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine and obtained his Medical Degree in 1983. He completed a three-year Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1983 through 1986. He followed this with a three-year Fellowship in Nephrology at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was a National Institute of Health Research Fellow from 1987 through 1989. His Residency in Ophthalmology was at The State University of New York at Syracuse from 1989 through 1992. After completion of a twelve month Vitreoretinal Fellowship at the University of Maryland at Baltimore, Dr Harriott joined Southeastern Eye Center in July of 1993. He has performed research, published, and has presented locally and at national meetings. Dr. Harriott has certification by the respective American Boards in Internal Medicine, Nephrology and Ophthalmology. His memberships include The American Medical Association, The North Carolina Medical Society, and The American Academy of Ophthalmology.
